Can the Mourne Heritage Trust provide funding for tourism projects in the Mournes ?

At present, the Mourne Heritage Trust does not have any funding for tourism projects however the Trust would hope to be able to access funding from Government or EU funding programmes, when these become available (eg the new Rural Development Programme or Interreg). 

In the case of the Rural Development Programme, the councils have been selected to lead on the delivery of this programme, have formed clusters and are currently preparing development plans for their respective areas.  

It is estimated that funding will not be available until the Autumn of 2008.
